What a Small Claims settlement conference is

1. It is not the trial

   A judge or referee tries to settle or narrow the case. Offers can be made without ending the whole claim.

2. Bring Form 7A, Form 9A, invoices and photos

   A two-page timeline helps. Form 14A Offer to Settle exists if you want a written offer on the official form.

3. If it does not settle you get trial directions

   Follow those dates. Form 13A List of Proposed Witnesses may be required before trial.
