New Regional Senior Justice of the Peace Appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice

The Honourable Doug Downey, Attorney General of Ontario, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new regional senior justice of the peace to the Ontario Court of Justice.
Justice of the Peace Christina Louise Logue has been appointed regional senior justice of the peace to the East Region, effective July 1, 2026.
In 2010, Justice of the Peace Logue was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice, presiding in Ottawa. Since 2025, she has acted as the Senior Indigenous Justice of the Peace, advising her colleagues on Indigenous matters.
Prior to her appointment, Justice of the Peace Logue worked for the Ottawa Police Service for 16 years. During this time, she was manager of the Ottawa Police Service Youth Strategy Office, where she oversaw the implementation of prevention, intervention, diversion and educational initiatives for at-risk youth. Justice of the Peace Logue was also seconded as the director of the RCMP Intervention and Diversion Program.
Justice of the Peace Logue has been a member of the Aboriginal Nurses Association (now the Canadian Indigenous Nurses Association) and the chair of the board of directors of the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health.
Justice of the Peace Logue has received several awards, including member of the Governor General’s Order of Merit in 2007, the Order of Ontario in 2011 and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for Public Service in 2012.
