How to ask to reopen a POA conviction

This page is a public educational walkthrough. It is not a retainer, a court form, or a promise about your result. For legal advice, you should contact an appropriate Lawyer or Paralegal specializing in the area of law you need assistance with.

  1. Confirm there is a conviction, not only a ticket

The court office can tell you the file status.

  2. Download Form 102 Reopening Application/Affidavit

It is on the POA court-procedure list under Court Forms. Swear why you missed the original date.

  3. File at the provincial offences office that owns the file

Bring the ticket or conviction notice and ID.

  4. If you only need time to pay, add or use Form 125

That extends time. It does not cancel the finding of guilt.
